NAYPYITAW: -- Organizers of the 21st Century Panglong Conference in Naypyidaw have admitted mismanagement and misunderstanding after the United Wa State Army (UWSA) walked out of the conference, decrying inequality in discussions, The Irrawaddy Online reported on Thursday.

UWSA’s southern liaison officer led his four delegates and their staff out of the conference despite early hopes that the Wa leaders would attend the conference.

Tah Nyi Lu, a delegate of the Wa National Organization, said he heard that the Wa informed a staff member of the conference organizing committee and left the conference.

He told Irrawaddy News that the UWSA reported to its central committee that the conference had no equality and they were tired of it.
