Hotel advise required for 2 nights Saigon & Hanoi

Featured Replies

Hi All, will be flying into Saigon with my Thai GF, looking to stay 2/3 nights before taking the train up to Hanoi, again staying 2 nights before going to Halong Bay. Then flying back to Bangkok from Hanoi.

Could any one recommend any reasonably priced Hotels, pref with aircon and hot shower, fridge, balcony would be nice but not essential.

Thank you.

Regards Tom

you would need to be more specific in asking. what is "reasonable" for you ? some people will consider 100$ as reasonable, where as for others, 20$ is already too much.

In which area you want to stay ? what will be your activities ?

I could give you some recommendations, but it is much easier to browse agoda and read the reviews of actual guests, and click on the maps to see if the location of a specific hotel suits you. download GRAB to get around (but you will need to purchase a Vietnamese SIM upon your arrival at the airport to use it) or if taking Taxis, only use VINASUN. money exchange for Baht is, unlike at most other places on earth, best done at the airport where rates are a lot better than in downtown. Dollars are more easy to change in downtown areas, but then again, airport rates are most likely still better

Hi Siam, thank you for your reply, have found Hotels near to Saigon and Hanoi railway stations, via google Earth.
