Not that hard to do but lots of paper work

It comes down to 3 things. Money (obviously), reason for coming back to Thailand, and the type of person she is visiting or being sponsored by (Australian).

 

Had a mate that sponsored his gf for a visit who didnt have much money nor had a proper job but had a family. However, at the time, he was working for the public sector in Australia and getting paid quite well. Thus, its not just about the characteristic of your Thai partner but also the Australian partner characteristic.

 

However, if your Thai partner have traveled to other countries before, it will also help with the track record. One of my mate, originally went traveling with his former ex to Singapore just to have some track record of traveling overseas prior to going to Australia.

 

My gf, now wife always had multiple visas with no issue from the start fortunately but she had traveled the world before. I guess bonus points.
