fronline

Featured Replies

Hi,

I been using frontline on my bangkaew dog for quite some time now. I do find it a bit expensive and saw that in France and Spain you get it from ebay for around half the price. Would this be the same frontline as in Thailand (I assume it would be just with a different language).

I know there are cheaper copies of the product available but I am not sure if they are as good,  I don't complain that much and 280 bt is not a lot of money (monthly)  but if I can save money by just ordering the same product in an other country why not.

Love to hear if anyone else has done it

(a) As a drug it would be illegal to import without the appropriate import licence.

(b) If imported legally there would be import duty and taxes to pay negating the apparent cost saving.

since march of this yr.our new vet and hospital recommended [controline] its only a bit cheaper 500bht.+?

this is the first time we have used drop on and in 6months, no tiny black ones,4females,2male's and none around the house.

this is from the uk.

so all in all a fair result.

but what about the long term use.?

Frontline has the reputation of working for a while, and then becoming ineffective.  The first time I used it, the result was almost miraculous;  a badly-infested dog (with ticks) became clear within days.

As with all tick medicines, this seems to work for one person, and not for another.  Find one which suits your dog, and stay with it until it becomes ineffective;  then you try another method!  You'll find plenty of ideas on this forum.
