Another Win 10 update that is causing problems for me again...

 

First it insisted I logged in with my passowrd which of course I didn't remember as my Win 10 is set not to ask for it, eventually got that reset. Checked the settings and its still set not to ask for a password as before.

 

Then tried to connect to my networked drive and again it wanted a password,  never asked before, it was the same as the win 10 passowrd luckily.

 

Now my Internet keeps disconnecting, as it did on a previous updates, I can not roll back to an earlier driver, last time I found and installed an earler Broadcom driver and it fixed the prblem so hoping the same will happen this time.

 

Also I have lost some word font I use all the time, 'Verdana Pro Cond' I have a word document written in this font and I can open it and view and if I hightlight the text the font name will show but I can no longer write in this font in a new document, the font is no longer in the word list of fonts, nor in the windows font folder. I have looked to redownload it and I found one site had it for about $300, any place I can get this font back, surely it must be on my pc somewhere if the old document will still show in 'Verdana Pro Cond' (I only have 'Verdana' available.)

Updates....

 

Its not asking for the startup  password again  but still showing the login screen and skipping past it, before this screen was not shown I did something so it went away but dont remember what. Still having to put the passoword  (netword credentials) each time I access my networked drive (my book live over wifi) which is annoying.

 

Changed network adaptor wifi driver back to old version Broadcom 5.100.196.8, It has not disconnected from the Internet again yet, but windows keeps saying "Broadcom 802.11 adaptor can't run on this PC", but it is running I just get that message on startup. In device status it says 'This device is working properly.' with the old driver.

 

Still not solved the missing word font "Verdana Pro Cond" but "Franklin Gothic Med Cond" is quite similar although I would like to get the old font back, it must be somewhere if word can show a document in it.

 

Other than this it does feel slower than before and sure to find some other things later.
