Rice pledging scheme whistleblower has two strange dreams

BANGKOK: -- Former Democrat MP Varong Detkitvikrom said in his Facebook page that he had two “strange dreams” regarding the scandalous rice pledging scheme Thursday night.

The first dream, he said, is that Commerce Minister Apiradee Tantraporn assigned the commerce permanent secretary to sign an administrative order for the seizure of the assets of those allegedly involved in the fake G-to-G rice deals to compensate for the loss incurred by the scam.

The whistleblower, who exposed corruption in the rice pledging scheme of the government of former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra, said if his dream is a reality, it means the commerce minister has no leadership quality and it will be a disgrace if she carries on with her work as the commerce minister.

“Despite the fact that she is protected by Section 44, she still has no guts – that is a waste of taxpayers’ taxes,” said the former Democrat MP.

The second dream is the government’s promise to disclose the details of the civil liability of Ms Yingluck regarding the rice pledging scheme in a couple of days. The liability amounts to only 35,717 million baht – which were substantially reduced from 286 billion baht to 178 billion baht and, finally, to 35,717 million baht in a way which is inexplicable and unacceptable.

Seriously, who gives a toss what this man thinks.

Everyday that passes makes me grateful I have no fb page.

Still laughing at their satellite being blown up.

Environmentally a disaster, but anything that reduces fb's presence and ability to intrude upon my life is a plus.

What's missing from this story is a Thai equivalent of Larry the Cable Guy to run with it!

Only in Thailand can one's "dreams" be  publicised as a surreptitious way of avoiding defamation?

I Have A Dream !

The next dream will be that people in an APC wearing green uniforms are coming to visit. Better pack a bag for a stay away from home.

Will there be an announcement that to have dreams deemed as critical of the government is illegal ?

The junta's ' Minority Report ' dept is probably onto this sort of thing.

The only dream this guy needs  to avoid is waking up dead in the morning or just disappearing, that possibly would be a nightmare............................................:coffee1:

What is wrong with you Mr. Varong Detkitvikrom? Everyone in this country dreams about the lottery, but you have to go against this trend and ruin the nation's dreamscape!

Everyone is missing the point.

Ignore the dreams, they are irrelevant because he didn't have them. He is only using the concept as a vehicle to present his latest political opinion on the current state of play with the rice scheme and the YL court case. It's perfectly legit. He chased down a lot of the goings on in the rice scheme, and therefore has a certain political credibility.

He's issuing a warning as to what he thinks is about to happen with the whole shebang. Again, it's perfectly legit.
