How do I abort a post

Featured Replies

Quite often I'll hit reply and type out something only to realise I'm wasting my time as my opinions are vastly different to most posters on here.

It used to be easy to abandon posts but I can't figure out how to do it now.

Any tips?

Cheers

If you have already uploaded it, you have 30 minutes grace, in which you can Edit your Post

- even deleting the Content, to leave the Post itself blank, is as good as aborting.

If the Post has not yet been uploaded, then:

try the back arrow

kill the browser page

Doing any of the 2 above, you may note the content of what you type, may still be visible in the Reply Box if you immediately attempt another go at Replying to the same Post

To get around that - jump over to a different Thread, and then come back into the Thread you were replying to

- it seems to clear the Content that you thought should have disappeared earlier

I have exactly the same problem.  default_rolleyes.gif  My solution is to close the tab of my browser that is currently open.

The text may reappear later if I try to post in the same topic, but then I just delete it all and type the new post.
