As and when I reply to topics or post new topics the only way of finding out if I have received any replies/interest is to go back to my original post, why? and what happened to the notification sound. All other services on my iPad work fine.

If this is the wrong forum please post it in the right one, I'm getting fed up with your lack of response, or is Thai Visa going down the plug hole.

Can you check your notification settings have they been changed? Goto account settings - > notification settings -> se if browser notifications are enabled an also sounds etc.
