Uk spouse visa

hi you all. we are applying for a spouse visa for my wife (of 15 yrs now) to join me now that I have returned to live in Uk with my British/ Thai son aged 10..

we have the application pretty well tied up. But a question to you all, who maybe have  had this issue:

my wife has Twin daughters aged 21. Both at University, and NOT part of the application. We only have my 10 yr old son who is with me now in UK and at school here.

The question to the forum is, "do i add my wife's daughters in the form where it asks " OTHER DEPENDENTS?" will it affect the financial requirements? they both have university grants and pretty well independent as they work weekends. Thanks, maybe it makes no difference, I'm not sure about it. The legal definition of dependent i think is someone under 18 yrs old???

Thanks we have time on this as  application goes in in January. just now she is in UK with me on a 6 month Visit visa.

It won't make a difference. Just the £18600 financial requirement.

She should mention them, but add a note explaining their position, as rasg has already said, they have no effect on the financial requirement.

Thank you guys cheers. We had put them on her previous visa's ( 5 visa's over the past 15 years), so will do as you say again thanks
