I am working on a visa for my wife to come to America. Part of the process is she has to get a police check in Thailand.

 

We are getting conflicting information about what she needs. For example, one cop is telling her she needs my passport. This doesn't seem right since the check has nothing to do with me.

 

She is in Hatyai and has to go to Bangkok, so we are trying to get this straightened out before she goes.

 

Anyone here with experience getting a police certificate for a Thai for a visa?

wife said she  didn't need a police check,her visa paper work was done thru the American Embassy

According to NVP, a police clearance certificate is required for a spouse visa.
