Diving instructor charged with reckless driving

PHUKET: Police filed charges against a driving instructor after his reckless driving was caught on camera yesterday.

A viral video on Facebook titled 'Please help. Am I in the wrong?' shows the driver of a Honda Accord attempting to turn right from the left-hand turning lane at the intersection of Chao Fa West and Thep Anusorn Road in Wichit, near the Shell gas station (video here).

The dash-camera video appears to show the instructor, named by police as Tor Por, cutting off the driver, pulling over and threatening him. 

Mr Tor appears to be turning right from the left-turning lane, despite the fact that there were two right turning lanes. The dash-cam driver, named on Facebook as Jeerapong Yanasan, initially did not allow Mr Tor to cut him off.

After both vehicles stop, Mr Tor exits his vehicle and yells at Mr Jeerapong, “Do you know who I am?”

 

I like that.

Shocked, shocked to my core.   About the driving incident ?  No, no... that there are actually people employed as driving instructors in Thailand.  Never would have believed it...

The heading clearly states he is a diving instructor. So I wonder what he was doing on the road in the first place.

 

I think the guy is a diving instructor, so there really is no fun at all in the article.

So finally somebody gets hammered for reckless driving in this country.

It would be more appropriate for him to get busted for reckless diving if warranted me thinks.

Sad I know but true. When my wife passed her test I know had to teach her how to drive, now she is definitely up to European standards

There are some good drivers here but it still doesn't stop me thinking that a Thai ' driving instructor ' qualifies as an oxymoron.

      I won't have any legal partnership. Im viewing sin sod as compensation for lost wages while working. But I agree with everyone 100k is too much and I want to negotiate something like 10k/month every month she's pregnant. Then only money for my child afterwards

      It's very real. I'm trying to reproduce for as cheap as possible while having a place to hangout in Thailand for a few months (taking online classes before graduation). I met her in February 2024. That summer, I stayed in her home while taking online classes, paying only the power bill (4,000 baht/month).
