Personal maid or Equal Partner? What is she to you?

For most guys their GF/Wife is an equal in the relationship. Each one brings something to the table and things work.

Important decisions talked about and the future worked out together, best as can be done.

And then we have the opposite side..

Guys desiring a Thai woman for their domestic abilities and traditional subservient role; Translated as sex on demand, fetching their next beer from the fridge, feeding them and washing their clothes

Whilst these guys are in the minority of Thai/western relationships, there is still many who think like this.

Expecting your GF/wife to be at your beck and call; expecting subservience just because you give your GF/Wife a few dollars

What is the motivation for guys like this to bother with a relationship? Why not hire a maid and visit a hooker once a week.

A relationship built solely upon monetary terms and Boss/servant roles is destined to end badly for the guy

Well above happens and some last,  l would say it depends on how long the Thai wife is prepared to put up with it also the relationship probably started that way anyhow.

It may well be for some Thai women a much better than a relationship with a Thai man.

Everyone has a choice .

I don't think you are putting all the variables into the post.

I tend to do what i want, when she wants. This seems to work quite well.

As long as she's in a good mood...........................

Bodyguard, driver, companion ... pretty useless as a maid,  but she does try. My main contribution is keeping her under control ... like I'll jump in when she's trying to kill someone. Of course,  I'm mostly safe, as the main financial contributor to this asymetrical relationship. You don't kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.

1) Status, ownership, contol. In a nutshell 'power'

2) Domestic incompetence / need someone around all the time.
