At the end of this month i need to go to Sawanakhet( Laos) to hopefully get a 60 days Thai visa...

I have done this a few times with my girlfriend. We are now the happy parents of a 2 weeks baby, my question is : What papers do i need for the baby to cross the Thai/Laos border?

The baby was registered at the Amphur and is in the girlfriend's Tabien Ban. The baby doesn't have any ID document.

We are in BKK to have the baby registered at the French Embassy but she will not get a passport.

Any comments greatly appreciated...

With the baby's birth certificate and a copy of their house book registry they can get a 3 day border pass. There is an office on the left just before the gates for the bridge where it can be obtained.

You could get a single entry non-o visa (90 day entry) based upon being the parent of Thai by showing the baby's birth certificate plus a copy and a copy of their house book registry.

You are also eligible for a 60 day extension to visit them.
