Advice from a techie needed

Featured Replies

I had True for my Internet and all of a sudden it quit working. True told me I needed a new 4G MiFi. I bought a Netgear and it made no difference, still no Internet. I have since changed to AIS. This isn't the problem. The Netgear has something called DC which apparently means dual channel. It is about twice as fast. The question is whether this DC uses twice as many GB's to get twice the speed assuming the same download volume. My usage seem to be much higher than my old 3G MiFi. I am back on my old MiFi hotspot and the usage seems back to normal. My area has no 4G coverage if that makes any difference.

TRUE issue can be anything from mast being out of action or simply incompatible frequencies.

With AIS, you can simply download a file of a set size and check the amounts before and after to see how much data has been deducted from your plan.

How much data are you utilising per month? Perhaps there are ways to increase your data allowance without increasing your spend.

I have a 40 GB a month plan with 10 GB of 4G bonus. Since there is no 4G coverage here, that bonus is a waste. I gave a friend of mine the Netgear MiFi to try so I cannot check the download with the usage. That is probably the only way to check it.

Thanks
