PHUKET: An 11-year-old Korean girl died from drowning at Koh Racha, 12 kilometres south of Phuket, on Sunday afternoon (Oct 23).

The girl, named as Haeun Park, 11, was on a day trip to Koh Racha with her father Hee Bok Park, 43, and mother Kim Young Joo, 40, when the incident took place. The family were due to return home from Phuket on Oct 28.

.....purposefully omitting details ....again.....it seems.......

...disgraceful.......

...condolences to the family......

RIP young girl.

Swimming lessons should be taught at early age. Both my children took swimming lessons and both of my houses had pools with proper fence around them. I learned at a early age at the local pool. Even my high school had a indoor pool. It was my first class in the morning in February. ..brrr. And a all male class it was a custom to not wear bathing suits. The girls use to giggle looking under the door from their dressing room. No way you could have that custom these days.

This tragedy I a terrible way to end your vacation. RIP to the little girl, and I hope her

parents will spread the news of their loss when thy get back to Korea.
