james1995
Situation: Thai lady does not have a passport. Does she need a passport if she just wants to fly on AirAsia from Bangkok to Chiang Mai? She is not leaving the country. She has never been on a plane before. Will a national ID card suffice? tonray
She can fly without one. My friend, who only got her passport this year, flew regularly from BKK to Hat Yai to see family prior to that.

Ricardo
I'd guess that most Thais haven't got a passport, yes an ID-cardwill be fine, for a domestic-flight.
Thanyaburi Mac
Thai driving license works, too. Even for farangs. Mac
