Hello all,

I have a fear of flying so was prescribed 14 valium by my Doctor in the UK.

I used some for the flight here and have 7 left for my flight back next year. I'm wary if I can fly back to the U.K with these or if Thai customs may stop me. I have a full prescription from the U.K and the original packaging. Would a safer bet be to obtain a new prescription here?

I also have Propanorol too (Prescription as well).

Many thanks.

Propoanolol does not require a prescription in Thailand.

Customs does not normally check people leaving, they are more concerned with people bringing things in.

As long as you have the prescription with you,  should be no problem even if they do.

My big irrational fear too.
I remember forcing a mate to take the train from hat Yai to BK as I was too scared to fly back. When we got to BK we found out the train had narrowly missed a trackside bomb by 20 minutes. [emoji12] my mate was fuming

I suppose it would be safe to carry your remaining medications when going back home, as long as you have the proper prescriptions. But to my own experience, I never had a problem carrying the same variety of pills, which is a pack of Xanax (10 pcs.) when i went abroad last May going to the Philippines, and i didn't even brought my prescriptions with me. There were no customs inspection when i head for the boarding area or anywhere in the airport. So since you have your prescriptions, just bring them along, just to be sure.
