i was thinking about something like this

has anyone every bought an electric motorbike from china? are they any good (for short trips obviously)?

can you get them registered here?

any place to buy one here already legal?

any advice?

Rather than buy from China you could try www.udamotor.co.th.  This company seems to have a good selection of 2 and 3 wheel vehicles (I bought a 3 wheel/3seat electric vehicle for THB 58,000 when they did a display at our local Macro).  I find it very useful for short journeys and would estimate that I can get at least 50km between charges (the manual says more, but I always drive at max speed - 45kph)

 

As far as legality, as the vehicles are electric, they are not registered and the BIB don't seem to be interested.
