AYUTTHAYA — A businessman accused of vehicular manslaughter surprised the court Monday by announcing he he is now fit to stand trial. Jenphop Viraporn, who came to the Ayutthaya provincial court without his attorney, withdrew his previous claim that he was mentally incompetent to stand trial eight months after he allegedly sped his Mercedes Benz into the back of another car, killing two students within. And the fact he has done such a thing only seems to fuel suspicion that money has changed hands somewhere high up in the rotten, disgusting system. The path ahead for the case has now been plotted and all the players are on board. What specifically that path is, we, the general public, will not find out for some time as these scripted dramas take months or years to play out. Telling the court he's fit to stand trial could raise suspicion he's unfit to stand trial as unfit is a valid excuse for the hiso to escape judgement and his faculties are too impaired to realise. I think a deal has been struck. It's very easy to turn it around when people forget quickly. Say that he was genuinely nuts for a bit but fought hard to stabilize himself so he could face the court. Court takes into account how hard he fought to exorcise those crazy demons but how they were with him at the time of the crash. He was nuts at the time but not anymore. Can't blame him for the crash - he was crazy then. He's been to the temple and worked really hard. Can't send this man to prison. His father's company is very large and the family is wealthier than you can imagine. The son owns a car dealership that specialised in high-end imported cars and thus is referred to as a successful businessman. However on social media pages he is referred to as living a playboy lifestyle. One has to wonder is his dealership profitable? Is he really running it? Is he managing it or simply the majority shareholder? Is it a front to give him and thus the family respectability? Does he have the ability, motivation and temperament to run a business?
