PATTAYA: -- At 10.30pm, on the evening of November 22, Pattaya Tourist Police were called to a bar on Beach Road after reports that a British tourist had been assaulted.

The victim, fifty-five-year old Nicolas Pautal, was treated by medics for a cut under his left eye.

His girlfriend, thirty-six year old Ms Pimprapha Bunthaotheuk, told officers that they had been enjoying a night out at the Mister B Beach Bar and Mr Pautal had asked the bar staff to turn the music up.

An argument then started and the bar owner approached and punched his customer in the face leaving him bloodied and bruised.

Sawangboriboon medics provided first aid and then victim went to hospital for further treatment.

Mister B Beach Bar

:cheesy:

Were they hesitant to write that it was the "Mr. Pee bar" (left of Mike Shopping Mall, to the right of Five Star bar)?

Is it wrong that I find this statement satisfying?

:sleepy:

The request was considered an insult to the late King. I'm not sure when the low volume music requests expires but it's certainly up to the "owner" to decide, especially if said owner is a Thai person.

Or a Beer Chang singlet ( socks and sandals go without saying!!)

Singlet yes, but the socks and sandals seem be a Scandinavian fashion, normally seen in seaside shopping malls where they seem to like going shopping shirtless.

Nothing wrong with a wife beater [string vest if it turns you on], sandals, white socks and optional hanky on head.  It's Pattaya for God's sake.

what happened to the bar owner?

Nothing?

Answer is we don't know due to this, as usual, quality reporting.

Think these reporters get a bonus if the story is left unfinished.

Ah. Anyway I am sick of Alpha drunks messing around with music in bars. Turn the music up!  Oh just uck off!  Bars are not clubs or discos.  As 99% of bars play $hit EDM and EP - the same set in every bar- all the time it's better when they play none. Absolute adult bliss.

May have been  a translation mix up (or down), may be the bar owner was feed of being told to turn it down.

More to the point a "can not do" would have sufficed.

When did you see a hankie on a head except in a McGill cartoon?

I have left a number of bars because the music was TOO loud. I have never complained because it was not loud enough.
