Khon Kaen to Nan

Featured Replies

Maybe I am asking this in the wrong place, please forgive me.

Can anybody shed some light on the bus connections from Khon Kaen to Nan?

And eventually back?

The local busstation advises me I have to go to Chiang Mai, and there try to find a connection to Nan.

Suppose that is the easy way out for a company going to Chiang Mai.

I presume there are connections from Uttaradit or Phrae to Nan, or even from Chumpae to Nan.

But finding those, or getting good info seems to be impossible.

Anyone can help?

Get the bus from KK to Uttaradit then you can get a bus to Nan.

I did that 4 years ago.

If no direct bus from Kh. Kn. to Uttaradit, get a bus to Phitsanulok and proceed from there. You are correct. Going to Chiang Mai would be nonsensical. You are almost as close to Nan where you are now as you would be if you were to go to Chiang Mai.
