buses

Featured Replies

i thought this would be better in the bangkok forum instead of the travel forum

can anyone tell me the bus number of the buses from pin klao to paf far peir the buses that com from the west go past the new bus station and drop most of the people off at the bus stop GPS  latitude  13°47'4.04"N   longitude 100°28'17.36"E i know that the 511 is one but have to wait an hour sometimes.

thanks for ant help

I believe the #40 (yellow) goes that route, but not 100% sure.

511 is your best bet, in all the years here i've never had to wait more than 15 mins for a 511, you must be unlucky. 511 is a very regular service.

This is far from my area, but this website may be of help:  www.transitbangkok.com

Buses in BKK are strange ,

you will get 3 buses  for the same route zoom past your bus stop and not stop in 5 minutes and not see another one for 30 minutes ,

I know it is impossible to have a  timetable with BKK traffic , but you would think the bus owners would want some room between the buses on the same route.......

and then there is the fun when they bump into another car and do not stop.....

Is there anywhere on the internet to find bus routes in bangkok?

Yes, in Thai on the official site of bmta.co.th

That site above is INcomplete and partly OUT of DATE-mostly there to cash in on irate Chinese buying their app.

and WHY cannot that salavan simply give normal directions. From PATA PInklao these routes at least go as far as New Sai Thai=konsong (with new and pretty good nite market now): 123-124-127-516 (quite frequent and mostly relaible blue/cream old-style AC)-runs to that new purple line MRT at bang yai/Westgate

40 mostly ends at (now) old Sai Thai, the new VAN station-before the big bridge.

As for now also dozens of free red buses marked shuttlebus.
