West Ham Thread

I didn't bother going back..  I think much of that damage was done with tools rather than the explosions. The metal frames are anchored to the concrete. And they had people not far away watching the pyrotechnics, which I doubt would have happened if they were that powerful.

Still sad to see it though. Our perfectly functional and comfortable stadium that has been my football home since 1975 being demolished.

Southampton have a very solid team and could maintain their top 6/7 position if they keep playing like they have been. Seen three of their matches including against us which they could/maybe should have won. Tadic looks a great buy and Shane Long provides a strong- running late sub option.

For West Ham on the other hand that Redmond character looks a real waste of space (just runs around trying to foul people and always complaining to the ref - irritating little c***) and of course Payet is right off the boil. They need some easier games to pick up confidence.

Will be a huge waste for the Prem if they get relegated with that stadium; crying out to be filled with foreign tourists if the spammers don't want ti fill it

Payet is not showing anything near last season , and the new players ?

Zaza ?  I only remember him from that silly dancing he did on the penalty for Italy in the Euros, not sure if he can produce the goals.

As a Norwegian I was also looking forward to see how Nordtveit would do in the Premier League but he is clearly uncomfortable out there playing on the right back , he is a  midfielder so I don't understand why even start him in that position .  He did well in Bundesliga but doesn't seem to fit in here.

Soon be time to start the "Managerial Madness 2016/17" thread.

With Hughes, Moyes and Bilic at the top of the pile.

You forgot Conte. Chelsea were so bad on Saturday they made Arsenal look like world beaters.

We have injuries to our first choice fullbacks, so Nordtveit is helping out in defence. We tried Antonio there and it was a disaster.

Assuming you stay up do you reckon it will become the tourist football experience in the capital then?

I think that title is Chelsea's forever. But when the novelty wears off, there will be plenty of room.

Take a pic from your seat next home game mate....let's see how bad it is.

I thought the view at the Library was great but the design makes the sound dissipate rather than reverberate.

Really praying we get it right at the Lane.

See post 4035. Imagine the pitch looking about 2 hand spans at arms length..

From BBC live txt during last match........

West Ham apparently play recorded crowd noise through speakers. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know nothing will.

Surely a joke, right?

Not sure what this is based on. I didn't hear it. The crowd are making plenty of noise, though not all of it positive.

At least the technical area is so far away from the crowd, the manager will never hear any abusive remarks again.
