Report Phuket Fines 17,000 Tourists for Unlicensed Driving
Put fines on those breaking the law, not arguing. But I always feel a bit disgusted on seeing a cop road block in Thailand, like in Hua Hin very often, where the cops only stop falangs and let all the thai riders with no helmets pass. This is a flagrant discrimination and corruption. -

I am not seeing it as that much of a bigee for me. You just make more than one transaction. So specifically for SCB yes it's not as convenient but how many people really make that many big payments that they will exceed 200k a day and if so they can probably arrange a temporary waiver. If they have been doing it regularly for business then maybe it doesn't apply or they get a permanent waiver - no idea. More irritating if your rent or something is north of 150k a month but if you are paying that I am sure you can make other arrangements............. The real question is whether this amount, or any limit, is going to help in reducing scams/mule accounts/payments or whatever illegal shenanigans it is supposed to hinder. Not sure that is very clear.... -

Me Neither. It puts reasonable warm bodies in front of me. After about a week of lame chat. And I never pay for a site. I just took my Tinder profile down again. If I put in 40 minutes a day, I can go out every week with a good looking Thai woman, 58-62, who was previously married to westerner -and hopefully, lived overseas. I am 72. It's been great sharing these lunches at The Robin Hood Pub. But ultimately, I prefer to live solo, travel more, do my stuff. -
