Whether Trump will issue a pardon to Maxwell or not, the general implication is that will only come after Maxwell and her attorney agree to conditions. Which is why my guess is that she will wait on agreeing to anything to see what the Supreme Court decides about taking her case SEP 29. And depending upon that the case against her MAY be tossed without conditions. -

Thai - Cambodia Conflict Thailand Agrees to China, US Observers at Border Talks
Picture courtesy of Amarin The Acting Defence Minister, General Natthaphon Nakpanich, has agreed to allow observers from the United States, China and Malaysia to attend a key border meeting with Cambodia on 7 August, according to a senior defence ministry source. The rare concession follows a request from Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence and comes amid heightened tensions over the border dispute and recent accusations exchanged between the two nations. Initially, Thai officials were reluctant to permit foreign observers, particularly from the US and China, arguing that the General Border Committee (GBC) meeting is traditionally a bilateral mechanism. However, during recent discussions within the National Security Council (NSC), concerns were raised that a Thai refusal could be interpreted as an attempt to withhold transparency or suggest ulterior motives. Consequently, the NSC recommended allowing limited participation by observers. Rear Admiral Surasak Kongsiri, spokesman for the Thai Defence Ministry, confirmed on 1 August, that General Natthaphon had officially replied in writing to the Cambodian side, agreeing to the presence of the three foreign observer nations only for the main meeting on 7 August. In preparation for the summit, joint secretarial-level talks will be held between 4–6 August to review relevant data, finalise discussion points and handle administrative matters. The primary agenda is expected to focus on defusing ongoing tensions along the Thai-Cambodian border, particularly incidents that have drawn public and diplomatic attention in recent weeks. The Thai side has requested the preliminary discussions in order to thoroughly prepare for the high-level dialogue. The Defence Ministry emphasised that while the upcoming meeting marks an elevation to policy-level engagement, it does not alter the fundamentally bilateral nature of the talks. Crime Hospital Worker Shot Dead After Visiting Ex-Boyfriend’s Home
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. A 21-year-old female hospital employee was fatally shot in the head, after visiting her ex-boyfriend’s house to collect her belongings. The suspected shooter 28, fled the scene on a motorcycle and was later arrested by police before he could take his own life. The incident occurred at a single-storey home in Ban Mai subdistrict, Khon Buri district, Nakhon Ratchasima province. Police and forensic investigators arrived at around 13:30 on 1 August, where they found the victim lying dead on a bed with a gunshot wound to the head. Two .38 calibre cartridges were recovered at the scene. Authorities believe the woman may have been shot outside and then carried into the bedroom. According to Mr Surin, 65, a relative of the victim, the young woman, his wife’s niece, had recently ended her relationship with the suspect. She had asked him to accompany her to the man’s house to retrieve her belongings. After she went inside to pack, Mr Surin moved the car to the back of the house to load the items. Moments later, he heard a gunshot. “The young man came out and told me, ‘I’m going to follow her,’ before riding away on his motorbike,” Mr Surin said. He rushed into the house and upon finding the victim’s body, called the police. The suspect, identified as Mr Suchakrit, was arrested later that day in Khok Krachai subdistrict. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime. He told officers he had been in a relationship with the victim for nearly three years, but they had separated a week earlier following a personal dispute. He claimed he had tried to reconcile with her when she returned to collect her belongings but lost control when she refused. In a fit of rage, he used a pen gun to shoot her. After moving her body to the bedroom, he said he attempted to shoot himself, but the weapon misfired. He then rode away, reportedly searching for a rope to hang himself before being apprehended by police. Police have charged Mr Suchakrit with murder and illegal possession of a firearm. He remains in custody while the investigation continues. The victim’s body has been sent to hospital for post-mortem examination before being released to the family for religious rites.
