Rhinoplasty surgeon needed

Featured Replies

Hey guys

i broke my nose about 13 years ago na stupidly didn't wear the brace. Progressively my sinuses have got worse and im now losing smell on one side of the my nose which is due to the bone or flesh perhaps blocking it.

ive decided to get this sorted and am researching the price and best doctor to do this, can anyone help? I'm quite sure I'll need it rebeokwn and then scraped/cleaned but any advice would be great!

thanks guys

Sorry, can't advise on a specific doctor, but as is often mentioned here, you should focus on the doctor's qualifications, not the particular hospital.  Also, a hospital for the procedure is highly recommended, NOT just a clinic, as if in the unfortunate event something goes haywire, a hospital has the facilities to take care of you which would normally be absent at a clinic.

You're already researching for a doctor, you might also visit a couple of the major hospitals in Bangkok for an evaluation, wouldn't think that'd be too costly.  Then do specific research on the doctors there.  I note that Bumrungrad has a large number of MDs in their plastic surgery clinic, clicking on names in "Find a Doctor" comes up with mini bios.  Other hospitals should have something similar, Saint Louis, Bangkok Christian, Sametivet, etc.

Mac

Yan Hee hospital .

Not sure about rhinoplasty, but I had a septoplasty (moving the septum due to it being off center and partially obstructing one nasal passage) with Dr. Pasakorn at BNH Hospital in Bangkok.  I also had other ENT issues with which he dealt and I give him high marks.  He showed skill with my operation, has a good bedside manner, and won't talk down to you if you ask questions.

That said, not sure he does rhinoplasties, which are more cosmetic in nature, no?

tbh I have to see a doctor again as I've forgotten exactly what it is I need but basically my nose needs to be reset and unblocked; could be septoplasty.

i live in Mexico City now but after living in Thailand know that for many procedures it is cheaper and better.

You need a good ENT surgeon.

Cost of medical care in private hospitals has gone up dramatically in Thailand in the last few years, and using a government hospital is not very feasible for people flying in specifically for health care (long waiting lists, red tape etc).

Almost certainly will not be cheaper here than in Mexico City especially when airfare factored in.
