KRABI: -- Krabi tourist emergency services swung into action when a female Brazilian tourist went into shock while in the water off Ao Nang.

Kanokwan Jansawang of the Krabi service said they had got a call that a woman was in trouble in the Koh Kai area. A rescue boat was sent to pick up Mrs Maria Zoppy, 56, who was whisked to port on the mainland where a waiting ambulance ferried her to Krabi hospital, reports Daily News.

Later it was reported that the tourist was recovering. It is understood that she has a heart condition. It was not reported whether she was diving or just snorkeling.
