For Rheumatics

Featured Replies

I am planning to go home for these holidays and my grandmother asked me to look for some creams for rheumatism in Thailand, local products like creams or something. Does anyone have any odeea on what I should be looking for and where? Thanks

every massage therapy shop will sell you balms they are using - they are similar to the tiger balm, warming. Check quality of it before you buy - some of them are home made, with a lot of paraffinum, white. The best are green and pinkish - they come in a small jars of about 150g. Some temples make them as well.

Thanks, londonthai, I just want to make sure I buy the real thing, I heard of natural loval products with all kinds of plants extracts and stuff, just want to make sure I get the right one. Is there a pharmacy or specialised shop?

Any supermarket or pharmacy will sell you Tiger balm or Siam oil, I saw some OTOP balm a couple of days ago, very dark green and smelled very potent :o

Thanks, I knew about Tiger balm and the Siam Oil, I just wanted to know if there was anything better than that. Thanks, anyways :o

Try to find a cream with chilli compound. The red chilli pepper has been proven very good for treating rheumatic problems. Sorry but no ideas where to buy. Heaps of stuff on the web on chilli and rheumatic treatment.

Another very good treatment is bee sting but you probably need someone to help you with this, don't bring your grandma a jar of bees :-)
