Maybe they charged you THB50 extra for a photocopy or something.
Lite Beer
All extensions of stay cost 1,900 baht.
Lite Beer
Is the op asking about a Visa or an Extension of Stay ? The cost for both are the same as last year. 1,900 Baht for a 12 month extension. 5,000 Baht for a Multi Entry Non Imm B Visa. Samui Immigration does have a history of creative pricing. Penang raised their fees in September of 2015 to 750 RM from 550 RM. The basic fee is still 5000 baht but many embassies use a unfavorable exchange rate.

Last week I suspect that you may not actually be talking about a non imm o-a multi entry visa obtained via a Thai Embassy or Consulate in your home country. About your last sentence , why is that? Do immigration offices not have bosses who are above the bosses who run these IOs who should be able to stop this theft? Because that is what it is. Samui Immigration, and others carrying on just like the police and their tea money. It is bad enough IOs making up their own rules without the pricing as well. Including myself 10 years ago when I was rather green. Allegedly. It would be interesting to know what the op actually applied for and what he paid.
