Perhaps it's relevant to note that despite billions of $ of western military equipment, Ukraine is losing ground, not gaining it. -

US Passport Renewal Hell - Thailand Edition May 2024
That was my expectation too (from the note at the Consulate in CM) considering that the summer in the US is the time the US State Department processes a lot of passport applications. So I was expecting to wait 6 to 8 weeks. As I said above - I was really surprised to get it in the mail 3 1/2 weeks after it arrived at the US Embassy in Bangkok. That was wayyyy more efficent than I expected, so I think they are just tempering expectations. It could take 6 to 8 weeks, but it probably will show up sooner. Do what I did - just make color copies of all the pages in your passport which have stamps plus the first pages and take out your TM30 and 90 Day report slip and arrival card, put them all together in an envelop, and hope it arrives sooner than later. -

What's the Most Surprising Thing You've Learned About Living in Thailand?
My permeant residences is in the U.S. of A., I am in Thailand until the 21st. Before coming over I had a painful and sensitive spot on the back of my neck. July 8 at about 11:30 am, I called my dermatologist and advised them I thought I had another skin cancer. I was told, we have opening at 12:00 and 3:30 Pm, when would you like to come in. Being that I was still on my first cup of coffee after waking up, I opted for 3:30 pm. Biopsy was taken and July 9 I was advised that I had a squamous cell carcinoma. Doc had a minute so she spoke to me. She said I could go in on the 10th or wait till my next scheduled 6th month exam on Aug 27 and she could take care of the skin cancer then. I chose to wait as I was leaving for Thailand on the 14th. This dermatology office is a very good one in my opinion. Better quality service than the Veterans Administration hospital and I don't have to drive to the city of Philadelphia. I would not claim this is the usual fast service here in the U.S. of A. though. I am on Medicare and retained my government paid health insurance, through Blue Cross/Blue Shield (BCBS), when I retired, which picks up anything that Medicare does not cover and covers my wife who does not have Medicare. BCBS also covers me here in Thailand or just about anywhere on Earth that the U.S. of A. has an embassy and whose employees has health care. -

Why is Thailand not full of so called Asylum Seekers?
If a Myanmar couple has a baby in Thailand the baby is not a Thai citizen. You don’t have friends here living the rest of their life with their Thai citizen because their baby is not a Thai citizen. -

Digital wallet as social engineering
The GLOBALISTS would very much like to establish a CBDC as a tool to control people. I think China already does this in some other fashion. I don’t know much about Thailand’s Digital Wallet, though. Probably just an easy way to distribute the 10,000 baht. Anyway, anyone with an IPhone has a digital wallet. You can add credit cards, debit cards, and so on. -

Israel Hamas War the Widening Middle East Conflict
You really have no idea do you. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has urged Hamas’s newly appointed political chief Yahya Sinwar to accept a Gaza ceasefire, saying the alleged mastermind of the October 7 attack was the crucial decider over a trauce. “He has been and remains the primary decider when it comes to concluding the ceasefire. And so I think this only underscores the fact that it is really on him to decide whether to move forward with a ceasefire that manifestly will help so many Palestinians in desperate need,” Mr Blinken told reporters. “It really is on him,” he added. https://archive.ph/6A4UH https://www.theaustralian.com.au/world/yahya-sinwar-accused-mastermind-of-october-7-attack-on-israel-named-new-hamas-political-chief/news-story/c4eb03e5b5d4bd9cfe71ff3e277a2140 -

Israel Hamas War the Widening Middle East Conflict
I never suggested you were on any side. I'm merely commenting on your comment. America want Israel to accept Hamas terms, people are quick to say Isreal is causing genocide. I am making an analogy, that is all. As for winding my neck in, kiss my a...s. I'm entitled to n opinion. whether you like it or not. Especially when you are playing on words rather than adding any real content! -

How reliable are public transportation options compared to owning a car in Thailand?
Most aren't lithium batteries. Thought crossed my mind a few times. If the Wuling had the govt incentive before we bought the ZS, I probably would have bought that instead of the BEV version of the ZS, as we loved our ICE version. But with the better spec'd NETA V, it's well worth the extra 50-75k for that over the Wuling AIR, the only mini I would consider. -

Your comment would be more relevant had Russia wanted to "roll over Ukraine" ie all of Ukraine. There is not and IMO never was a need to occupy all of Ukraine to achieve the objective.
