I have to agree with deepinthailand here, the OP is certainly in some serious shit, and with his addiction as well as somewhat difficult financial circumstances, it's really time for him to return home to Germany or wherever; things will only get worse if he continues to hold onto a dream to stay in Thailand at any cost. He sadly looks like someone we could end up reading about in Pattaya News.

Who is it you actually owe thd  money to ?...if its a farang, they not allowed in the loan sharking business in Thailand and you might be able to report them for those illegal activites to the police as well or threaten to get your pp back

IMHO the OP is either a troll or if the story is real and the OP is very stupid to have allowed this situation to develop. Or perhaps the OP is someone who sets out to create such situations and just enjoys the drama.

 

And now, so he says, needs his bf to travel here from Germany to hold his hand and get him out of Thailand. He talks of getting an emergency travel document, I just wonder whether the German embassy (any embassy) would consider the scenario, as described by the OP, to be sufficient grounds for the issue of an emergency travel document.

 

OP has already mentioned he's been working illegally, I doubt that will impress the German consular folks, in fact it may even push them to refuse to do anything - no embassy would want to be accused of meddling in or ignoring known local legal issues.

 

Or is he going to tell lies to the German consular folks in Bkk saying he lost his passport? Or is he going to tell lies to the local RTP by saying that he lost his passport so that he can get a local police report in regard to 'lost passport', when in fact he stated the 'other party' is holding his passport.

 

All of these lying scenarios, if that's what he does, in regard to his passport, could easily be discovered by the RTP or the German consular folks bringing charges for creating a mischief. 

 

Bf from Germany must be crazy to put up with antics of the partner now here in Thailand.  

 

OP, please go back to Germany and grow up, and please don't return.

But he needs a passport to return or an emergancies travel doc. Sounds like his passport is a no go so a few lies to police about a lost/stolen  passport same to his embassy with police papers in hand better than waking up dead one morning which is a high probability if he stays here. As for the working here neither here or there as far as I'm concerned not something that bothers me people will do what they wish to do knowing the consequences if caught.

Couple of questions you say they are in effect holding you against your will is this correct. 

Why if this is the case have you not used your phone or device you are using to post on here to call the police or ask for help from one of us for us to inform the police of your unlawful imprisonment.?

You must know where you are tell us we can inform the police immediately.

This is  one of the more far out stories I have heard, but as much as it sounds crazy - it is not beyond the realms of possibility here in Thailand, when you have been here for a few years and have witnessed some of the crass stupidity and desperation of some people who rock up on this shores. 

The OP really does need to just get the hell out of where he is, and worry about the bank cards and passport later.

Quite...one only has to walk about a bit in Pattaya and observe some of the farang and Thai freak shows walking about to know there must be crazy stuff going on

The OP still hasn't said where he is, I would hedge bets that he is in Pattaya or Patong , that sort of crazy stuff wouldn't be so far fetched there. Maybe there can be a rescue mission

Not exclusive to Thailand. 40 years ago I visited an old friend in Sydney for a couple of weeks. He owned the family house his grandparents had bought years before. Every day I saw several folks on the local streets, high as a kite, desperately in need of a bath and good food, dirty, lost and confused, and some frightening.
