Or possibly it was wasn't an HC from a EU or western country.  Not all of them have been to diplomatic finishing school, you know.

Yes but damn few of them are raving nuts like the OP has described.

I suspect this is like many Hon. Consuls, where it's someone doing this duty part-time out of his home or office, not receiving very much pay and possibly even less training.  May even be a Thai national.  Some of them don't speak the language of the people they're suppose to represent.  Perhaps thought it would be all about going to cocktail parties and encouraging Thai kids to go to university in the country they represent.

We're just hearing one side of the story.

Exactly this seems to be the case here...

Lots of people would throw you out if you get confrontational.

Why were you there if it was your GF's business?

Confronting him with giving wrongly advices cant be treated in such bad  manner, especially as Official person and accredited.

Maybe you interpret something into the word confronting .

So you ``fulfill`` the requierements for the service ,following  on wrong and incomplete instructions you are not allowed to point this out without getting kicked out , is this  justified??

Weird policy ....

Injury is one thing, offense another. If you have been injured by, for example, his misapplication of law or regulation, then you might seek redress, such as a second chance to submit an application or refund of a fee. But if you are not injured, but merely insulted, then don't expect much of a hearing.

Still won't say why you were there!!!
We get incorrect incomplete instructions from officials in a variety of places but most of us are smart enough not to piss them off.

``Piss them off``, is nothing which can be excused for a misbehaving Official Person and never justifies such behaviour.

Especially a pregnant woman seeking Consular assistance , should be treated in a much different way.

Even if the seeking person is distressed and nervous, that doesnt intitle anybody in this Position to act like a complete a......hole.

We have contacted the HC again, and he refused assistance again, we tried to clear the dispute, but he is unaible and unwilling to perform professional assistance in this case.

So , thats why we bring it to the Embassy attention and contacted already the Vice Consul . As we understood from Embassy staff, he seems to have problems with other citizen in the past as well , and is well known for his lunatic behaviour.

Something strong probably happened to set off the HC.

What was it?

Apparently the HC has mental problems and from a very reliable source we also know that he is on strong medication, which might be a reason for his lunatic behaviour and inaibility to perform consular assistance in a regular manner.

You are right, not Western and not EU.

Im just wondering what qualifies a person to become HC ?

I wish i could publish details , but as mentioned it could end fatal here in Thailand.

Even if you have proof and make a claim which is true, based on the law its considered defamation if any financial or social damages caused to the person linked.

Otherwise i would speak open as im usually doing ..
