AIS fibre but no wifi?

Featured Replies

I currently have True Online wifi, which is becoming increasingly unreliable and in the evenings has such slow speeds that my internet TV is continually buffering and freezing (both through wifi and the ethernet cable).

My condo is fully connected for AIS fibre which I understand is a far more reliable service.  However, the AIS rep I spoke to told me that AIS cannot do wifi?  I need wifi so my family can use it while I connect to the TV.  I would have thought that if there is a digital/fibre connection, wifi should be an option too.  Am I missing something?

"However, the AIS rep I spoke to told me that AIS cannot do wifi? "

This looks like a language problem, not a technical problem :-)

Agree ^^^, they show several Wi-Fi capable routers on the website, it's possible that the standard router supplied does not do Wi-Fi, but a fairly nominal extra fee will net you one that does.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

... or buy your own, as I did to my FTTx Router that came sans WiFi.

Surely a miscommunication.   The AIS router(s) provided includes Wifi capability.

Maybe the AIS rep thought you wanted AIS via Wifi (which they don't do) versus AIS via a hardline (fiber/VDSL).
