Bought a car from a departing acquaintance and found it has a very thick film on windscreen which is pretty crap and scratching.

Would like to remove it, but wondering about whether the glue will come off or not. Bad film is still better than left over <deleted>

Any experience. - film looks like it's 1mm thick and on outside, baffles me why they did it

Cheers

Never known it to be on outside. Typically you can peel off window film and then use mild soapy water to remove the leftovers. However just try one little corner first using razor blade to see if this works.

Yeh - never seen too. Not smart as plastics scratch easy - and wipers and grit have made their mark

Will try as you say

It is indeed odd that it's on the outside.

However, I'm sure that one of the specialist film places will remove it for a nominal fee, or free if you are going to get them to replace it with a sensible film on the inside.
