I meant to buy a backpack misting machine in Udon before returning to Australia, but clean forgot.

So what price am I looking at getting one shipped to Australia?

The extra help would come in handy.

Immigration isn't a problem. I have bought bach all sorts if things.

I can get one locally for Au $1400 or online for Au $600. I think they are a lot cheaper in Thailand but can't remember.

I might just have to go back and pick one up.

These things are as popular as rice cookers. There are shops stacked with them. Even a price would be a start.

Easy there sipi, it's the weekend after all and some of our farmers may have been out on the piss last night. Pretty sure answers will be forthcoming.

At my age nothing is done in a hurry.

I can always grab one later.

Edit.. And with my memory I am likely to forget about this and start the exact topic again in a few days time.

price will depend if you want man with it

you might have problem with immigration in oz

Wait for Amazon to come out with their self driving model.  It'll save tons on visa fees over the years.

Hi Sipi,

Sorry i don't have one or know the price but something to keep in mind about buying in Aus would be the availability of spare parts. When i visit my local motorbike repair man's shop it's not uncommon to see a heap of of the starter rope recoils in the corner of the shop off misters, sprayers and whipper snippers.

You can get a Chinese  made one here in Thailand ,I would say  no more than 8,000 baht ,as for shipping, not certain .

I would say this day and age  if one was brought in Oz ,it will probably be made in China  anyway .I would buy one in  Oz,  as FJ said any problems   you can at least get it fixed if it was brought in your  home country.

Thanks for your replies.

I did look at Amazon and they have them for a few hundred dollars but unfortunately they don't ship to Australia.

I figured the 8000/ 9000 baht range for a local one. Problem is they are over 37000 baht in Australia. Seems outrageous for a fan on a motor. I could blow up 4 Thai/ Chinese ones for the price of one Aussie one lol.

Thanks again. That us a great start.

I had a look around the stores in Udon and the basic pump/electric (battery) ones are around 1200 baht and the larger ones petrol engined ones similar to farmerjo's post range from 2300 baht up to about 4000 baht.

Aha. Thank you very much kind Gents (and ladies?).
