It seems that the corrupt process of entry to the highly lucrative position of police officer is at epidemic levels, and these are just some unfortunates that are going to take the fall so that the high-ups can declare 'case closed' and move on, changing nothing. These 7 will probably mysteriously move and surface in some other jurisdiction anyway. Rotten to the core.

7? out of how many?that cant be the final number surely.

"National police deputy chief Pol General Dechnarong Suticharnbancha Friday presided over a meeting at the Royal Thai Police headquarters of the team which was set up to probe exam cheating at the Metropolitan Police Bureau (MPB) and the Provincial Police Region 1 and 7.

The results at the Provincial Police Region 1 and 7 were announced Friday, while the MPB’s results will be out on January 30."

More to come on Jan 30, my guess would be another random figure to appease the nation.

And stop calling me Shirley !

Is cheating in an exam a criminal offence?

Not sure, so I Googled it and came up with:

...............The elements of fraud as a crime similarly vary. The requisite elements of perhaps most general form of criminal fraud, theft by false pretense, are the intentional deception of a victim by false representation.................

I think it would be Fraud given it was entry to a position that's supposed to enforce the law...

I think that cheating in an exam is definitely not the criminal offence of fraud.

So, if that was a definition from Thai law, cheating wasn't a fraud committed by some entrants.
