I have tried to use my new Rabbit Visa Card to try and buy online, but it would not accept it. I also tried to use it to pay for goods in Tesco Lotus, It was also refused. I have tried to get help from the Bangkok bank itself, they cannot speak much English. The teller called someone then gave me the phone, it was no use either, the so called English was just going round and round and getting nowhere.

Is this card only supposed to be used on the BTS? Do I need another card for to shop online or pay for my goods from a store? Some help please.

My Bangkok Bank Visa Rabbit card works fine for in store purchases.  Haven't tried it online.    If I remember right I set the daily purchase limit to Bt20K when getting the card.

Bangkok Bank webline to a PDF document on how to set/check the purchase limit.

More info on your Visa Rabbit Card...yes you can use it for purchases assuming the purchase limit is not set to zero.

Thanks Pib, what a hassle, I know there is a language problem up country here, but I should not have received a card that does not work.

Have you set your daily limit on payments with it. I had to do that for my standard Be1st card to use it.

This is not my first Be 1st card, I have only upgraded to a Rabbit Card which I did not have before. I think I may have to wait until the next time I am in Bangkok, and go to the head office.

Yes, I know Crossy, but this is Thailand, and I am dealing with Bangkok bank here, so I suppose I just need to accept the situation. Thanks for the link.

Just follow the simple/brief instruction in my first link above to determine if you have set a purchase limit.  If it set to zero, change it to one of the allowed values.   You don't need to go anywhere to do this...just dial the Bangkok Bank call center number in the instructions, listen to the voice prompts/follow the instructions.  Easy.  Heck, even I've done a couple  times before.
