Loud music from the hills keeps Lamai residents awake

Featured Replies

There seems to be a new club located somewhere in the hlls of Lamai. Last night music thumping until very late. As the location is clearly residential and not an entertainment area, it is clear that this is an illegal business. I wonder if someone knows where this is coming from as is is audible all over Lamai.

I live in the hills at the rear of Lamai and not heard a thing but maybe it's over to the left or right of me. Anyway... maybe it's a wedding party or some such.

I love the lamai village area….very cool locals…..and a nice quiet vibe.

Not sure, it's Thailand, and especially it's Koh Samui...:whistling:

Lamai has been a very noisy entertainment area earlier, however the beach village area has been much quieter since the night club at Angkor Hotel up the hills at the Ring Road ceased to exist...

So went out and found who, where and why.

and why ....who and where then.? ... knowing minds wish to know!

Actually even in sleepy Bang Por there has been a low level Booming music or  trump trump might be a better term, coming from some where lately after midnight, ... thought perhaps coming from KP?

Yes, the base sounds travel better over water than over land.

Once a month you will hear the Black Moon Party at Koh Phangan, which takes place at mid up hill behind Haad Rin – if almost calm with soft northern wind, you will hear the tracks clearly from around Midnight till 5 am or Sunrise...:saai:

German fella had a party because he was going back home. Was in a small establishment so not technically residential but certainly in an area which is generally quite quiet. Known the owner of the establishment for years and she blew her amp last night. Too long going too hard and got too hot. Boom. I was in town err. 'on business' so didn't hear any of it.
