Cochlear implant or similar.

Featured Replies

My Thai sister-in-law has impaired hearing in one ear.    Anybody out there have experience either with Cochlear implants or something similar for people with pretty bad hearing?

Cochlear implants are considered indicated only if there is severe deafness and little or no benefit from hearing aids. Under most national health systems/insurances, covered only if this is the case in both ears.

Does not sound like this applies to your SIL.

Thanks,  Sheryl.  Yes, pretty sure it is only one ear that is affected.
