Now let me guess,  they found him not there as he must have climbed over the wall just before they all got there ? Bet they don't disclose if they find the stash of millions of baht and drugs though !

Maybe he tunneled out?  Like they do on US-Mexico border - because there's a wall.  LOL!

At least police have no guns, so we can assume no bloodshed.

Time to question Thailand's religious freedom ? political issue ? ego ? power struggle ? or something else ?

Only God know.... Hope there is peaceful solution from both sides.

The most dangerous game is against cult sector, especially religious issue toppled many leaders in the world.

A New Supreme Patriarch.  A New Game Plan.  Same dog-and-pony show?  Guess time will tell.  When the smoke clears we'll all probably find out that Dhammachayo is in Dubai.

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha’s Article-44 order to control Wat Dhammakaya compounds is aimed at integrating efforts of all agencies to maximise legal enforcement and protect lives of the innocent in the area, said the Government Spokesperson Lt Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd.

“The order has been thought through to solve this complicated case,” Sansern said “It is needed because the defendants last time did not cooperate with authorities and stopped officers from entering concerned areas,”

Not to mention, it is not wasted.... since the salaries would have to be paid anyways.  It does not matter if the military are in barracks, or helping out.... they get the same either way.   And police, well -- it may save some shop-owners money ... if the police are occupied in real work (it is not like there is an undersupply of them).....

PATHUM THANI — A spokesman for the besieged Wat Dhammakaya criticized the military government’s raid Thursday as “un-Buddhist” and urged for a peaceful resolution to the standoff.

Temple spokesman Dantamano Bhikku said in reply to a reporter’s inquiries that they were surprised at the latest move to arrest its ex-abbot and leader Phra Dhammachayo, who is believed to be hiding somewhere in the sprawling temple complex north of Bangkok.
