A motorcycle stop in Bearing has a simple but brilliant solution to please customers who have to queue up in a long line to wait for their ride.

 

Facebook user Pisit Tangkoblarp posted a photo of a notice board at a motorcycle taxi stop on Sukhumvit Soi 107 that informs customers of their wifi password.

a good idea certainly, assuming it works... but 'thai initiative' an oxymoron surely. :unsure:

I don't see anything good here.

 

It is simply an attempt by the transport Mafia that controls this spot (BIB maybe?) to prevent the public from filing complaints that there are not enough Motocys according to demand. It would be a question of just a few hours to find some more Motocys to be added to that location if they really wanted.

Many such places can be found along Sukhumvit past Thonglor towards Samutprakan, whereas at other locations the poor Motocy-guys barely get enough PAX to buy three meals a day.
