Freckle Removal

Featured Replies

Has anyone ever had their freckles removed by laser treatment in Thailand? I want to know how safe and effective it is. Would also want to know how much it costs. Thanks

Yanee Hopital has a website with prices for dermatology and plastic surgery.

There are so many lasers these days that it is interesting to see how various doctors approach the problem.

There are so many "skit spots" and the lasers that treat them that a consulation is the only way to determine if they have a laser that they think will help on what you call a "freckle".

I have had many spots removed here in Thailand and it is relatively inexpensive as long as you make it clear that cost is a major consideration for you.

I also have a large "sun spot" on my forehead that after to attempts, remains. Each attempt was with a different laser.

In Honolulu, I had a very large and dark "freckle" removed by a plastic surgeon, that I had all my life and it was a success. He tested the procedure below my ear to make sure I didn't scar.

I may have to have a excision of the brown spot on the forehead by a plastics man if my next laser attempt fails. If you do go the plastic surgery route, get a dermatologist that has entered the plastic field as he certainly would be better versed in the skin.

I was very freckled as a kid, many of them fading but it was later determined that I have a benign skin condition, uticaria pigmentosa, that looks like freckles but are spots made by an excess of histamines triggered by my body. No treatment available except tanning, and when the tan goes away, the spots reappear as they were always there, just disguised.

Good luck on your quest. It may take a while.
