BANGKOK: -- Yet another case of violence committed by a teacher has come to light at a well known school in Pracha-uthit, Bangkok.

And once again when reporters tried to contact those involved they were told that the teacher had gone home and the director was in a meeting Daily News reported.

The footage - cut from the original 16 minute long version - shows a teacher and her assistant doing an art class with kindergarten students who are sitting on the floor.

The teacher assaults a boy several times with hits to the head and is seen treading and stamping on the child as she walks past.

The footage is blurred to protect identities but it can be seen that the little boy is confused and distressed by what has happened to  him.

The poster "Dr.K v.3" said that it was an art class and that the teacher had spoken rudely as well as assaulted the student. The footage was recorded last year and the poster wanted the parents to come forward so that action could be taken. They said that the teacher was still employed there.

Daily News said that they contacted the school - that was not named - and were told that the teacher had gone home and that the director was not available for an interview as he was in a meeting.

The video was shared 20,000 time online as netizens slammed the teacher's behavior.

Last week two students were tied up and blindfolded by two teachers at a kindergarten saying they did it to help aid concentration. They paid parents 40,000 baht in compensation.

Last year saw regular cases of assault on children of all ages with one case making the national news after a girl was disfigured when a teacher threw a coffee mug at her because she was not paying attention.

the director was not available

Despite the fortunes they make out of their position, they do tend to shirk responsibility when problems arise.

The  problem runs  deeper  than this and starts  with the parents, many Thai kids do exactly what they want with no restraint from lazy parents, having kids is a big fulltime   job not to be taken lightly yet many deem it their right  just to pop em out

So it's the parents fault the teacher was violent towards the boy! incredible:shock1:

Terrible absolutely terrible, how can any adult do such things to a child.

Part of the problem stems from the lack of good parenting.

My little angel can do no wrong, never taught right from wrong.

Yes that maybe true but it doesn't justify this absolute disgraceful behavior. Teachers are meant to nurture, care and guide children. If they can't do it whilst children do not always do as they are told. Then should find a new profession. This is abuse and inexcusable.

An unblurred version. Warning disturbing footage.

<deleted video link>

The teacher is a nasty piece of excrement and the child didn't do anything to deserve being treated worse than a soi dog

The two teachers should never been allowed to teach children. Disgusting behaviour. Walking full stride through children sat down, banging their legs against the childrens heads. Threatening the children, scrunching up their art work and shoving it into the childs face. Hitting the children, screaming at them. Then laughing about it.

Get out! Get out of schools! Stay away from children. Why do so called teachers like this get a job in the first place. The school management has a lot to answer for as well. Employing these witches.

Waiting for the usual suspects, to spin this and explain, why the kid undoubtedly deserved this...emoji19.png

I'd like to spin those two teachers by the ankles into the nearest jail cell. No one condones child abuse.

Can't see the point in commenting if you're just going to talk crap and avoid the big issue here. What has parenting got to do with a teacher assaulting a pupil, a little child at that? I don't see them ranting and raving and even if they were this slovenly creature is way out of line. She needs to be slapped down and urinated on, but struck off and sent down for a stretch at the least. Take it you don't have kids, but if so I feel sorry for them. I'm sure you'd blame yourself for bad parenting if that was your kid being assaulted like that. Pfft!

here come the comments! Thai children are very well behaved. they respect the teachers.... unlike in the west.......... uummm... yeah....

Thailand is improving. give it more time. these stories are exceptions.

other comments: Thailand is a poor country. Thai children are very shy... that's why they don't question anything...they are shy.... and even the word "farlang"... means that those are different people... it's not how they were educated.. or that they read stuff.... it's all a geographical or race thing.

so... it's not the education system. the national education system just needs some more "education reform".... money... everything else is on track for improvement.

My experience, based on incidents at my kids school here, is it is always FEMALE teachers who dish it out. Why is that?

That is because there's a certain amount of fear and respect automatically given to male teacher.

I used to teach in matayom and when I walked in the room female teachers got better classes.

The same thing happens where I teach now

Looks like it´s time to do a psych eval, on everyone to get an employment close to other human beeings. On the other hand, they would probably screw that up too.
Off course that psych evaluation also should go for all parents that doesn´t take a responsibility. How do deal with the teachers this time? Don´t know, but maybe they can be placed on the floor in a gym and have the big and muscular well trained athletes kneeing them in the head for an amount of one year.

awesome! let's say for a minute that your expert assessment of the thai society is true, does the kid in the video deserve to be assaulted that way? maybe you think that the parents themselves should get a kick on the head at their kids' schools.

with nearly 9,000 posts,  an "i love jesus" avatar, and one minute elapsed - i wonder... are you just trolling?

They have probably had enough of the way Thai men knock them about and abuse them so they are wrongly taking out on the kids

"Teachers" who hit or abuse their students should be dismissed!  Are there no standards in the classroom?!  An administration that allows this behavior is worse than worthless!  A real teacher is a leader, an inspiration to the students!  A real teacher provides all students with opportunities for success each and every day.  Is there no teacher training here?

I would suggest the teacher should be transferred to the army as a private...Bit of square bashing and an RSM in the face may work wonders..
