Vasectomy anxieties

Featured Replies

Hi there

I had a vasectomy 14 years ago but never had the follow up confirmation that it worked (no live thingys coming out). I had numerous relationships for six years before marrying my wife and never had any pregnancies and since being with my wife for 8 years no problems. Nonetheless I'm still paranoid that she may become pregnant. Is this a possibility even given the fact that I've been shooting for 14 years with no mishaps? It would be an absolute disaster for our marriage if she got pregnant, given that she wants offspring and I definitely don't.

How does one get this sort of thing tested? Can i shoot at home and take it somewhere or do I have to go to some lab and ejaculate? And thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

DM
