HI

Can anyone advise if the Motorola Moto G5 or G5 Plus has been launched in Thailand yet, with pricing if known?

In Hat Yai and online no one seems to know, so the usual happens they send you on a wild goose chase.

Many Thanks

I've been checking for the G-5 at  several True shops in Bangkok and none have it yet.  They have G4-Plays,and some models of the Moto-X.  The G-5 sells on Amazon for about US$ 175 +/- for the 32gb version so I doubt that B6000 in Thailand is realistic.  EBay Hong Kong has the 16gb G-5 starting around B7200.

Thanks for the replies. I have had no luck yet. I will look at something else. I am not a power user, nor out to impress, and absolutely NOT going to pay the same price for a phone as a desktop or laptop computer.

These models were just launched at MWC last month (well February), doubtful there available here yet. Nothing on the Motorola TH website nor on the usual grey market importers. G5 looks a bit weak, G5 Plus a tad better,.

Dear All,

As per my latest inquiry here in Bangkok, Moto G5 Plus will be available on 17th May, 2017. I have got this information from an official store at Siam paragon day before yesterday.

Thank you.

Just make sure you are comparing like models (32 GB/64 GB) and variants (U.S. frequencies vs. global). Obviously it's challenging to compare grey-market with localized products, forgetting about warranty.

have a look at the xiomi mi4c available from lazada or banggood for around 5 or 6k... better processor and better phone also upgradable to the latest android...

try gearbest or banggood

I've frequently purchased through Gearbest and a few times, Banggood with generally satisfactory results however a Xiaomi Note 3 purchased through Gearbest has had unrelenting ad spam and unwanted app downloading problems brought on by bloatware apps Gearbest puts on the phones.  In this case it's an app called UC Browser which then installed UCNews which has proved impossible to uninstall.  I will eventually have to instal a new ROM on it.

My GF has had a Moto-G, then a Moto-G-4 and really likes them.  I tried a 2nd generation Moto-X (XT1097) and liked it but I was given a new Xiaomi Note-4 so put the Moto-X away.  The Moto-X  is available for sale if anybody is interested, just PM me.  Used only 2 months.
