Pattaya opens ‘direct line’ to mayor online

PATTAYA:--City spokesman Pinit Maneerat announced the “Direct Line to Pattaya’s Mayor” section of the Pattaya City website March 20, saying it is another channel for businesses to submit complaints and notifications of law-breaking, including giving suggestions, opinions and criticism.

 

The city already operates the 1337 telephone line to give people the same functionality. The spokesman did not indicate whether Mayor Anan Charoenchasri would actually check the website himself or staff would do it for him.

and no. But they will pretend to.

If you complain about the piles of stinking garbage, they won't actually clean it up, but instead erect a sign saying that anyone dumping garbage will be fined 2000 baht. Eventually the said sign will blow over and become part of the garbage heap.

 

If you complain about sewerage leaking at a beach, they will then divert that sewerage to the broken down sewerage plant in Nongyai which leaks.

It's only for "businesses" normal everyday plebs can complain to telephone number 1337.
Anyway the website will probably be hacked by the Anonymous group who have been very busy since the single internet gateway revelations and Koh Tao Burma 2 verdict.
