Hi To all

I am Back asking advice again

We attempted to submit our application for my stepsons settlement visa yesterday at the uk embassy only to be told my wife did not have full custody, After she had assured me the Ampur had verified she had full custody "Typical"

The girl on the desk said the paper work we had gave him permission to travel to uk from both parents nothing about custody

After a chat with the information desk i then found out we need to apply to the distict court in Nakhon phanom for this, As the Lad is in custody of both parents still

We arrived yesterday evening and went to see the local solicitor he said this would take around 8 weeks to complete

A little Info on this matter would be useful

1. Is the time scale correct

2. How many visits to the District court will be required

3. Do i need to be there for all hearings

4. Costs for the solicitor and district court

5. Can Joint custody of him be given to a farang with a Thai wife Married and settled in the UK

6. What if any paper work do i need to supply IE:UK Marriage certificate, Passport Etc

I was quoted around 7000 Baht complete for the solicitor and District Court Costs

I would expect quite a few of the regular Posters will have been through this

Sabie Dee Pe Pe My Crap to all

Excuse the spelling :o
