Google Chrome browser and Win10 x64 build 1703

Featured Replies

Been using the latest Win10x64 update (Creator 1703 build) and so far working except Google Chrome browser. Anyone else notice this?

I have several Google profiles and the Chrome profile switcher/manage people button does not do anything now. I've reinstalled fresh and still no go. This issue goes away if if run in Win Safe mode, also the only mode I can use to uninstall Chrome but returns when I exit safe mode.

For those with one profile only, maybe not a biggie, but for the rest of us it is currently annoying.

if anyone has a fix please post thnks.

OK, got it sorted. Need to turn off Chromes hardware acceleration (what that is meant to do??) in settings.

Have you tried too make Google to your Default browser?

And disable all add ins and clear the cache.

Yes, tried that made no difference. Firefox is my default by choice but I switched to check, Only fix was to disable hardware acc until now like I mentioned.

I should add that when I went to Win10 update on previous build the status told me Creator update would be added to my PC when available and it was coming soon, so I followed the other methods mentioned in your Win10 Creator Songkran thread and forced the update. Perhaps MS wasn't fully ready as previously I have only updated when Windows updated itself. That said only issues I've had to date are with Chrome and my sound drivers that I had to manually reinstall to get the laptop base speakers working again.
