Compulsory test for 7 year old vehicles

Featured Replies

My garage has closed and my car is due for registration next month. Any suggestions as to cost and garage would be most helpful.

Many thanks

There are nominated centres for this "test" . It takes about 20 minutes or less and costs around 200 baht.

The one for car tests is in the caltex garage next door to thr road tax office at Nong Hoi so you can do it all together.

The test is 5minutes max all they do is print out the exhaust emissions.

Its maybe 160bt certainly less than 200bt.

Heading south on the road on the East side of the Ping River towards the Nong Hoi market the Land Transport Office where you can do the drive thru registration renewal is on the left.  Also on the left about 50 meters before it and 20 meters after it there are shops that do the test. 200B I recall.
