Good Cardiologist In Pattaya?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has a good recommendation for an English speaking cardiologist in Pattaya?  I am interested in finding out if there are some specific heart medications that may be available.

Thanks!

My problems are just the standard high blood pressure and high cholesterol. So the doctor who interprets my yearly blood tests tells me whether I need to vary my medication and I dont bother seeing a specialist. Last year we halved my dosage of the BP medication and the statins as both seem to be working well with no side effects.

For availability of particular medicines you could ask a pharmacist. I  would recommend the big Fascino next to City Hall for price and competence.

Thanks for your responses!  I am also on BP and Statins along with other meds...I am not in Thailand at the moment and want to figure this out as much as possible before I go, I have an appointment with my cardiologist here and he will be asking me questions regarding available medications in Pattaya.

This may be a long shot, but Do you know if Coversyl and (Tiazac - which is a brand name of a type of diltiazem (calcium channel blocker) is available, and if a regular doctor can prescribe them?

I probably only need to see a cardiologist once a year, unless there are complications...

Thanks!

Those aren't what I take so I'm afraid I have no idea, but with any luck board member @Sheryl will read this and will comment. If not ask in the medical sub-forum.

For what it's worth most things seem to be available here, or have some local equivalent.

BPH is usually considered to be the most expensive hospital in Pattaya. For simple questions/problems I would ask elsewhere first.
